Limited Edition Designer iPod touch

Selfridges is carrying this unique iPod line, featuring hundreds of black Swarovski crystals complete with a special diamond ring design encrusted with 24k gold coated and silver crystals. What a way to propose, eh? You could include her favorite songs into the playlist while you pop the question. Unfortunately, you will have to pay through your nose for this special edition iPod touch as it retails for £899 while the iPod nano is a wee bit cheaper for £749.

NEC Pimps Up Laptops

NEC Pimps Up Laptops

NEC turns on the style by featuring laptops that come with Toshiko Kimura's drawings on them. It is actually a LaVie G Type L laptop that runs on an AMD processor, but never mind the specifications. After all, if you're one who is looking for something aesthetically pleasing without paying too much attention to the specifications, this new pimped up line will do very nicely. After all, NEC doesn't have the history and pedigree of killer laptops in the past so one can expect this to be a beautiful package that has enough to handle everyday word processing and Internet surfing.

Goldvish To Open In Geneva

It is well documented that plenty of rich (and famous - the two kind of go together always) folks often head to Switzerland and set up a home there as they don't have to pay the taxman a single cent from their earnings. Well, what better place for Goldvish to open their store than in Geneva, Switzerland? This boutique will be neighbors with famous watchmakers and jewelry designers right smack in the middle of the city. Guess if you are a Geneva resident with more than a cool million Euros to spare, there is always the cell phone from Goldvish's "Le Million" collection that is gold and diamond-studded, retailing for over €1.298 million.

Eazo Piles On The Luxury

For those who cannot afford the Zeus PC which we featured, there is always a relatively cheaper alternative - the X70 PC from Eazo. It features a very Chinese design that embraces Western technology to achieve computing perfection - at least for a while. For $45,500, you get :-

  • 3GHz Q9550 Core 2 Quad processor
  • Two NVIDIA 8800GTX graphics cards
  • 4GB RAM
  • Light-up liquid cooling
  • A 10,000rpm 150GB drive
  • A 7,200rpm 500GB drive
  • 7.1-channel sound
  • Windows Vista Ultimate
Spending that kind of money on something that gets obsolete the moment it arrives on your doorstep is kinda, silly, but hey - if you can afford it, who am I to stop you?

Samsung Giorgio Armani in the flesh

[CES 2008] At long last, here we have the Samsung Giorgio Armani handset in the flesh. Just like the suits from Armani, the handset itself looks extremely understated yet elegant, coming in a glossy all-black color. It features the Samsung CROIX user interface, a full touchscreen display (that's the way to go these days it seems), a 3 megapixel camera and a microSD memory card slot to store all your photos and music inside. It comes clad in an Armani leather case so you can be sure to look stylish each time you whip this puppy out to answer a call. No idea on pricing, but as we stated last year, it will be released globally this year to discerning business folk.

[CES 2008]Sony Ericsson Z555 phone The Sony Ericsson Z555 handset wants to be stylish with its diamond-inspired design and bejeweled keypad when you open it up, but then again cheap substitutes make this look rather tacky as though it was a pre-teen girl trying to act 21, badly done make-up and all. It comes with Gesture Control that allows you to mute the phone or snooze the alarm simply by waving your hand over it. You will be able to pick up the Sony Ericsson Z555 for around $29 after operator rebate and subsidies.

  • 1.3-megapixel camera
